How to create a web site for your tennis coaching business

Tennis Coaching Web SiteCreating a web site for my coaching business really changed my life. Here are some of the ways that it has helped me:

  • People no longer need to call / email me to find out coach phone numbers, term dates & prices, times of lessons etc. This doesn’t mean that I’m not available to take calls & emails – quite the opposite. It means that when people do need to talk to me about important stuff, like their child’s development, I am available, rather than spending all my time dealing with admin.
  • The web site allows people to find out about our tennis programme.
  • It keeps the members up to date about what is going on.
  • I take bookings & payments for all the sessions & tennis camps online.
  • I can put up articles, photos & videos which are of interest to our members.

But how can you get a web site without paying thousands to a web designer. Easily! I highly recommend using wordpress, which is very simple, quick and free. There are 2 ways you could go:

  1. I’ll do it for you at a low cost. Contact me for details
  2. You can do it yourself. I’ve created a set of videos showing you how to quickly and easily create a web site.

What about using Facebook instead of website?

Yes a Facebook page is a quick and easy way of getting a web page up, but there is so much more that you can do with a WordPress web site. And it is very easy to learn. Nothing wrong with starting with a Facebook page, but I would highly recommend adding a WordPress web site at some point.

I am just starting with coaching so I think that for now Facebook page is enough. All I need for now is to attract people but once it gets started I hope I’ll start a website which will contain information about what I and my players are doing and to show improvement and news.

Great! Good luck with that and be sure to put a link to your page here in the comments so others can see it and comment.

All the questions and answers above are good points.Like me i had a facebook page and am up to above 200 likes, but i think having a web site and like to my facebook page would help people to know more about my tennis school and to spread the news around the world.
